"Mixing it Up for Mental Health": VictoryLab helps raise funds for Calgary Mental Health A
(c) VictoryLab Inc. 2018
On July 4th, the VictoryLab team attended the Ranchman’s annual Bullbustin event as the title sponsor in support of the Canadian Mental Health Association Calgary. Attending the event gave us the opportunity to not only raise funds for this incredible non-profit organization, but to raise awareness for CMHA and for overall mental wellness in relation to sport and everyday life. The day was filled with meeting new people, watching professional bull riders excel in their sport, hosting a lunch to thank our beta test group, kicking off the event with an introduction by NHL Stanley Cup Champion Andrew Ladd, who spoke about the empowering benefits of VictoryLab, and spreading the message of the importance of mental health in sport and our society.
The Canadian Mental Health Association Calgary provides citizens of Calgary with many different resources to improve their mental health, such as providing education for families struggling with mental health issues, and providing programs like family counselling and peer support groups. CMHA also provides individuals with the opportunity to attend courses on recovery and wellbeing free of charge, encouraging them to move towards future opportunities and personal empowerment with a positive outlook.
We are honoured to have had the opportunity to support such a meaningful organization, as many of CMHA’s values reflect our own. Our mobile app helps organizations care for their people through individualized support and customized informed systems that give organizations feedback that’s responsive to the needs of the team. VictoryLab also gives larger organizations or teams access to important analytics that relate to areas such as encouragement, motivation, and performance confidence. This information helps organizations make informed decisions on policies and programs that support positive mental and emotional well-being and increase individual and team performance. The Bullbustin event gave us the chance to start an important conversation about mental health. It’s our goal that one day, everyone will have access to the anonymous mental health support that the app provides organizations with, as well as the rich data it gives organizations to be better everyday based on information their staff or team-mates are providing them in real time.
We at VictoryLab want to give a huge thank you to Ranchman’s, and Cody and Rhonda Snyder for hosting the Bullbustin event, as well as to all individuals and groups involved in the event. Thank you for an incredible experience!
